Rude awakening....

Akahana woke up from her long nap and sadly enough some of things that happened before she fell asleep were soon erased when she did fall asleep. She woke up feeling strange and turned her head to find the reason why. It all slowly came back to her and as it did her eyes widened.

They weren't even drunk which was the strange thing. But Akahana didn't have to be drunk to be out of her right mind at times, obviously it was the same with Suoh. She didn't jump out of bed and start screaming like the maniac she was instead she just sat there and for the strangest reason she wanted to smile.

Suoh was still sleeping and he still look cute with his hair down once again. She smiled and laid her head down among his chest and wrapped her arm around his waist. Not really sure why but it felt right to do so at the moment. She then looked up at Suoh listening to his heart beat and breathing.

"Suoh wake up...." she whispered into his ear. She waited for a response.

Suoh was sound asleep with a dream filling his mind. It was nothing much just him in his angel form surrounded by water. It had some sort of meaning but at the moment it wasn't clear. What was clear was what happened to him and Akahana several hours ago. Now that thought was entering his mind. When Suoh felt Akahana's head against his chest and her hand about his waist, Suoh began to wake up. He heard her words and his eyes opened slowly. When opened he turned his head toward Akahana. Suoh had a smile upon his face, "Hey..." He said in a semi-sleepy tone.

Akahana smiled and got up from lying on Suoh so he himself could sit up. She had the sheets wrapped around her to keep herself hidden from Suoh's eyes.

"Okay...maybe we should be talking about this right about now..." Akahana begun a bit confident in her tone of voice. She didn't feel to scared to discuss this just a bit worried on what was to come of it.

"Just thinking out loud....I can't say I didn't enjoy it Suoh..." Akahana added and she blushed a little. She shifted a little away from Suoh giving him space to breath. Breathing sounded good about now.

When Akahana moved, Suoh decided it was best to sit up. He noticed she had the sheets covering her but luckily there was some left to cover Suoh's bottom half. He gave Akahana a grin as she began talking. He nodded several times and was glad that she sort of happy with what happened, "I enjoyed it too..." It felt odd to say but it was the honest truth. Suoh took a deep breath and continued, "Alright. So let's talk..." He gave her a smile and moved some of his hair off his shoulders.

Akahana was bit mad that Suoh didn't begin, he was in fact the guy and guys always spoke first in these situations. But then again Akahana was more of the guy here so maybe it was best she spoke up first.

"So I like you a lot...." She begun and taking deep breaths as she was speaking as well.

"and.....I like spending time with you....a lot...." she continued now looking down at the bed keeping no eye contact was best at this time.

"And I would really like to stop talking now..." she added and grinned a little.

This conversation had to come up sometime, that's what Suoh thought. This moment was awkward but it had to be done and taken care with. Akahana seemed to be a bit mad that Suoh didn't start talking first but to be honest he had no clue what to say. For he has never been in this type of situation. Suoh listened and nodded a few times. Then he himself said, "As do I Akahana. I like you a lot too. And I have to say you captured me when you kissed me the first time that night long ago..."

Suoh shifted in the bed and was now in front of Akahana. They were face to face. Once again Suoh lifted Akahana's chin gently so she could look at him. Suoh grinned, "Don't stop talking. I love to hear your voice."

Akahana thought she was going to explode. Just pop like a balloon and inflate. She couldn't handle this type of pressure and agony. Though it had to be done and over with so this was her chance to get out of the way.

"Well..." Akahana begun but she didn't really know how to say it.

"I don't think....we can still be friends...." she said but didn't mean it like that. She quickly explained herself.

"I mean just friends....now that we went all the way that is...."

Suoh dropped his hand from Akahana's chin. He smiled and nodded, "I agree completely..." Then then paused and thought for a moment. He took quick breath and said, "Why not? I'm willing to give it a try if you are." He gave her a confident grin. What he was referring to was a boyfriend/girlfriend thing. She was right to say that they couldn't really be friends anymore since 'this' happened. Suoh said again, "I mean if you would like too. I really like you Akahana and I would love to like you more."

Akahana breathed a sign of relief and threw her arms around Suoh and squeezed him. "This is going to be great! I can just feel it!" she exclaimed.

"I mean...we can do some serious damage as a pair...everyone better watch out here comes Aka-ko and Suzuha!" Akahana joked and looked at Suoh.

"Well...maybe...." she smiled and kissed Suoh on the cheek.

Suoh put his arms around Akahana when she threw herself on him. He smiled for he felt this was going to be great too. When she joked all Suoh could do was give her a look but it was one that meant nothing bad. He wasn't angry or anything but he continued to give her looks like that, she would continue to joke. Which is what Suoh wanted, he liked her jokes. He laughed a little and after her kiss on his cheek, Suoh got up from the bed and put on some boxers. He then looked to Akahana, "Want something to eat? I'll cook..."

Akahana nodded in response, of course she wanted food. That wasn't even a real question was it? Akahana got up after he left the room to get dressed. She was still wearing his long shirt but not his boxers. She walked into the living room and turned on the television.

She waited patiently while Suoh cooked, it was better left him in the kitchen than her. It was kind of what got them into this mess in the first place, but that was what she wanted. Not like she had it planned though.

Suoh managed to get together some pasta. The aroma went through the whole apartment and filled it up. It was only a matter of minutes and the meal was ready. With that, Suoh placed them on two plates and headed for the drinks. He then heard the television turn on and he smiled to himself. He got the drinks ready and put them on a tray. Then he took the tray into the living room and found Akahana on couch. He smiled and said, "Dinner is served. Tonight we have the Mizu special, pasta a la mode. With the special drink of the night... coke." He smiled and set a plate and drink in front of Akahana, "Dig in!" Suoh then did the same with himself and took several bites of the pasta.

Akahana smiled and took bites of her own pasta.

"This is really good...your such a great cook Suoh!" Akahana said happily and munched down even more.

She drunk her coke and watched the television at the same time. It was all different but yet it was a good different. She felt closer to Suoh somehow, and it was nice.

"Yum...that was great..." she said her plate was clean. She then burped herself loudly and cover her mouth. "Oops....excuse me..." she said and laughed.

Suoh smiled when she gave a compliment. "Thank you. I try hard... beside I rarely eat fast food. So I end up cooking. It might be nice to become a chef." He took some bites and watched the television. His gaze went to the windows, it was raining outside. It was sort of nice, the rain that it. When Akahana burped, Suoh looked to her and then began to laugh, "You're excused."

Akahana smiled and looked out at the rain as well. She loved the rain, well she loved any kind of weather actually since she could control it from time to time. But she let mother nature have her way right now, she needed the day off.

"Hey...let's go for a walk in the rain...it's so amazing..." she claimed and didn't wait for his answer she ran into the back of the room to get dressed in her own clothes that were clean now.

"Well...what do you say? I think we both can use the air right about now!" she added coming back into the living room. She was grinning at Suoh now and didn't even blush.

Suoh finished his meal and was really full now. And then he watched Akahana go crazy over the plan of walking in the rain. When she came back from the room and was wearing her clothes, he couldn't help but smile. Suoh then got up and didn't say a word to Akahana. He went to his room and put on some new clothes. He came out holding an umbrella in one hand and it was rested on his shoulder. He walked over to Akahana, grabbed her hand and simply said, "Let's go..." They then went out the door and he opened the umbrella. Suoh then had his hand wrapped around Akahana's shoulders, "If you don't want to get wet sat under the umbrella but we're going to have to stay close.... Sorry."

Akahana was happy that they were going out for a walk. She nodded and stood close to Suoh and eventually placed her arm around his waist. She was a bit afraid but it felt right so she stayed like that holding him.

'this is nice..." said Akari in Akahana's mind.

'Oh no...I was wondering when you were going to wake up and say something...'

'Well how long did you think I was going to just sit here and watch everything...so...you two are a thing now eh?'

'just shut your trap...before I turn you into the zoo...'

There wasn't another response from Akari and Akahana smiled, she obviously got to her. Akahana rested her head on Suoh's shoulder and smiled.

"This is really nice..." she said.

With his hand and arm wrapped around Akahana's shoulders, Suoh gave a smile. The smile merely grew when she placed her own arm around his waist and her head on his shoulder. Suoh nodded in return and held up the umbrella with his other hand, "Yes, this is really nice..." He smiled down to Akahana.

Akahana pulled away from Suoh just to have a feel for the rain. It was like a strong sensation on her skin and she closed her eyes to let it all sink in.

"It's like heaven falling down on me..." Akahana claimed and she twirled around a bit.

"I love the rain Suoh!" Akahana added and she ran around jumping and enjoying the nice weather.

She never thought she would be spendinding this much time with Suoh.

Kaishou came closer to the two of them not sure what to think of the two of them. He stopped in his tracks staring at Suoh their eyes meeting and the silence spread across.

"Hello...again..." said Kaishou and it was all he could say at the moment.

Akahana stopped dancing around Suoh when she saw Kaishou coming up from around the corner block. He looked strange in the dark as if the moon gave him a darkened aura surrounding him. He seemed surprised to see them together, but it wasn't obvious that they were dating.

"Hi..." said Akahana seeing Kaishou for the first time again after their little talk way earlier. Things seemed to be happening quite fast and it was hard to keep up without slipping and falling.

"Nice day for rain right..." said Akahana just being nice. She could sense the tension between Kaishou and Suoh returning.

Suoh smiled at Akahana. It couldn't be helped, she was just light hearted and pure. She was always having a positive side and that made Suoh want to be with her even more. What Suoh wanted to do was run and jump with her and then finally grab her, hold her and kiss her. But a voice came from beyond. Suoh turned around and saw Kaishou. Suddenly, Suoh remembered the thing in the pub but he put it aside.

With umbrella in hand, Suoh put his other hand in his jeans pocket. Suoh looked into Kaishou's eyes and said, "'Sup?"

Kaishou didn't say anything to quickly he was still wondering why they were out so late so he decided to press on with that thought traveling through his mind.

"Nothing much, just heading home to get out of the rain..." Kaishou replied and he gave a small smile. The rain helped calm him, it was putting out his fire from within.

"So...why are you two out this night...don't want to catch a cold..." Kaishou asked. He looked Suoh up and down as if seeing him for the first time. What did this guy have that he didn't?

Why did this guy make him feel angry.

Suoh listened and nodded several times. He then took a quick look to Akahana but went back to Kaishou. Suoh shrugged, "Akahana wanted to go for a walk in the rain, so here we are." It was a simple answer but it was the truth. Suoh took another look to Akahana and gave a grin, "You might want to get back under the umbrella before you get a cold like Kaishou said."

When Suoh looked back to Kaishou he seemed angry with him. But Suoh honestly didn't know why. Lately he hadn't done anything to make him upset. He then got enough courage and asked, "Is something wrong Kaishou?"

Akahana didn't reply to Kaishou's question she felt it was better if she kept silent for the time being. She smiled softly to Suoh when he told her to come under the umbrella and so she did.

She placed her arms around Suoh's wait again and just looked at Kaishou. She knew something was bothering him as well but Suoh was the one that asked the question so they both waited for the response.
